For Univeral Picture's feature musical Idlewild starring the duo from OutKast, Eden FX created the singing cuckoo clocks sequence, in which cuckoos pop out of their clocks and rap along to Outkast's tune "Chronomentrophobia".

Visual Effects Supervisor Peter Crosman said: "Eden FX was an invaluable partner in both the design and animation of the singing cuckoo sequence. The birds and human figurines had to look perfectly real for their performance in the movie. Director Bryan Barber was very particular about the characteristics and choreo- graphy of each clock, as well as the photo-real distressed patina of their surface details. They were beautifully rigged to mimic realistic hinged movement and precise timing. Eden's work on the cuckoos was flawless."
